Avon Supershock Gel eyeliners

Avon Supershock gel liners: Aquapop, Flesh, Blackberry, Golden Fawn

I love eyepencils and gel liners so these are perfect for me because they combines ease of use of pencils and staying power of gel liners.

Highly pigmented, soft, blendable liners. They glide on smooth and once set, don't budge all day.

For oily lids, I would recomend using eyeshadow base and setting them with transluscent powder to keep them from transfering.

They're not waterproof, more water resistant. In any case, they are very long lasting. They can be used on waterline, and they have good staying powder, but it will depend on your eyes.

Only downside is they have to be sharpened.

Available in several shades. Here are some of them:

Golden Fawn - lovely taupe shade, with tiny silver, gold and pink shimmer.
Blackberry - black with red shimmer (doesn't  photograph well, you can se here true pic of the shade)
Flesh - very light pink
Aqua pop - gorgeous peackock blue

Spring in Avon

Today I bring you few new products from Avon.

Avon True Color Quad palette Awakening

Avon True Color Quad Awakening

Avon True  Color Quad Awakening

Palette has 4 shades, two of them are matte (yellow and turqouise) and two shimmery  (pale pink and greyish brown).

Matte shades are most pigmented, very creamy and blendable. Greyish brown is bit harder then other shades, and not as pigmented. Even though it looks great in a palette, pale pink shade is a dud. It's grainy and imposible to apply, there is no color payoff, it comes of patchy.

Palette has 6 g/ 0.21 oz.

Swatches:

Nailwear Pro+ nail polishes

Sweet Pea Dream, Painted Peony, Inspired Iris, Blue Water Lilies
Blue Water Lilies, Inspires Iris, Sweet Pea Dream, Painted Peony

These four shades were inspired by petals. All shades contain fine glitter. Other then blue (Blue Water Lilies), all N/P are sheer.
Application is great, no streaks, and two coats give solid coverage.
AS for, logivity, I can't comment on that since I have geled nails, and nail polishes tend to last longer on them.

Shades are:
  • Sweet Pea Dream, nude peachy shade with gold shimmer
  • Painted Peony, orange pink shade with gold shimmer
  • Inspired Iris,  pinky lavander shade with ligh grean shimmer
  • Blue Water Lilies, blue with silver shimmer.

N/P have 12 ml/ 0.4 fl. oz

Avon Ideal Flawless 10 in 1 BB cream

As BB cream are getting more popular, lots of brands are realising their versions, from  drugstore to HE. One of them is Avon.

What Avon says:
Light formulation cream, infused with vitamine E and minerals. Evens out skin tone, hydrates and reduces redness. Covers imperfections and smooths out skin. Skin looks improved even after removal of the cream.

Unlike most brands, Avon BB cream is available in larger shade range. It has  SPF 15, and package contains 30 ml/1 fl. oz.

My impressions:
Cream is thicker, like liquid foundation. It's hydrating without been greasy. Goes on smooth and absorbs quickly, leaving soft and silky skin. Coverage is light to medium (thicker layer). It won't hide imperfections completely, but it will even out the skin tone, and reduce redness. Doesn't set in fine lines, but it can make pores more visible, due to shimmer.

Cream contains fine gold shimmer that gives skin radiant glow, so it's suitable for dry to normal skin.
If you have combination to oily skin, you can stil use it, it's stable on the skin, barelly transfers or fade troughout the day, and skin stayes oil free for hours, and shine can be removed with loose/pressed powder.
It can also be used as a natural highlighter.

I suggest, you use this cream only in daytime, since shimmer is really visible in artificial light (more visible in RL, pics don't pick it up as much).

Once removed with makeup remover, skin remains soft, silky and lightly glowing. If you look really close you can still see some shimmer on the skin, so I recomend thourough washing.

Cream has slightly unpleasant  scent, which fades quickly once applied to skin.

All in all, I like the cream, but I wish they didn't add shimmer, so it would work for all skin types.

If you decide to buy Avon BB cream, get testers firts, shades don't corelate with other Avon foundations.

Avon Color Trend Matte nail polishes

I finally found some time to do this quick post.

Today, I got my Avon order, and few nail polishes came with. I have gelled nails, but I still occasionally buy N/P that looks unusal or I like the color.
And Avon N/P are good quality and not too expensive. They go on nicely and evenly, they have good coverage and last rather long on nails.

I was so excited when I tried CT matte nailpolishes that I had to write a post right away.

What is so special about these N/P?
First, they look nothing like normal matte  N/P. They are actually shimmery, but matte at the same time. When I took them out of the box, my first thought was: In what universe is this matte :D. In the bottle and when aplied, they look like ordinary shimmery N/P, but once fully dry, they are matte.

They come in three shades, at least in our contry: Fuchia Feel, Soft Violet and my favorite, Blue Royale. Size is 8 ml/0,28 liq. oz.

As for coverage, Blue Royale gives nice coverage with one coat, but with two you get such nice deep color. The other two shades need two thin coates or one thicker.
I don't know how long they last on nails, but I was satisfied whith this line in past.

When you remove  N/P it goes down easy, no need for some crazy rubbing.

Without further ado, here are pictures. They are not the best, but swatches are true.
Soft Violet, Fuchsia Feel, Blue Royale

2 coats: Fuchsia Feel, Soft Violet, Blue  Royale

Which one do you like best?

I also got this SpeedDry N/P in Smoky Plumes. Unfotunately it doesn't photograph well. The color is gorgeous  smokey darker mauve, name describes it perfectly :). I'll try to take a pic of a swatch few more times and add it later.
Here is how it looks in the bottle. The first pic is the closest to true color of N/P.

Avon Planet spa Shea butter Luxurious face soufflé

I'm not crazy about Avon, but I do love some of their products, like Planet spa line.
I bought this cream recently.
My skin is usually oily, but last few months it's got so dry, rough and flaky and usual face creams didn't work any more.
So I decided to try this one cause I liked the scent :).

Avon says, it will regenerate your skin and give it shine. You can use it both morning and evening.
Package contains 75 ml/2.5 oz.

At first, when I got it, I was baffled because it has pearl shine in the container. I was thinking who would want to look so shiny.

Souflle has odd consistency, like thick lotion, but almost fluffy. It's very light, you need very little of it and it absorbs quickly and leaves no tackiness or shine, yaaaay :D.

What I love about this cream is my face feels so soft and silky. All creams make my skin soft and smooth, but not like this one, and it stays like that all day (I normally only put creams in the evening).
Also my undereye area is smooth, nourished and I have no need for undereye cream.

Foundation goes on the face like a dream, and I don't have to use cream or primer before.
I tried applying souflle before foundation to see how long it will last, and if my face's gonna get shinny and oily and how fast. Foundation lasted same as it would normally.
Also, once I put foundation on, my pores are less visible.

Souflle has light shea buttery scent. It smells wounderfull to me, but it might bother some people. Luckily it doesn't linger to long.

It doesn't have SPF, so that can be a problem for most people. And since it's such light consistency, maybe it won't be nourishing enough for very dry skin. But you can apply additional layer where needed, it will absorb and won't flake.

I still need to test it during summer but for now I love it. And it's perfect cause I don't need 3 creams (day, night, undereye), I have all I need in this one.
